Warm greetings from the Korean Committee of Solidarity with the World People (KCSWP)! Availing itself of this opportunity, the KCSWP would like to extend its gratitude to the NDFP for its arrangement of the Conference and for the kind invitation to the KCSWP.
To lay bare the true picture of the imperialism and its aggressive and reactionary intrinsic nature to the people of the world is the common task of the struggle to oppose for imperialism and to safeguard global peace and justice.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), supreme commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, made it clear the aggressive nature of imperialism and set forth the struggling tasks to frustrate ever-escalating war manoeuvres of imperialists with his outstanding ideological and theoretical wisdom, thus providing the banner of implementing the cause for the global independence.
At the present it is taking place on the international arena the severe confrontation and struggle between the progressive peoples of the world who are trying to defend the sovereignty of their country and nation as one part and the imperialist reactionary forces who are engrossed in aggression and war, highhandedness and arbitrariness as other part.
The characteristics of the prevailing international situation is that the contradiction and confrontation between big powers for acquisition of hegemony is being intensified day by day, and the imperialist forces headed by the U.S. is getting declined in the confrontation between the independent forces and dominating forces.
The imperialist reactionary forces, met with doom, are making desperate attempts to maintain their hegemony whatever it may cost. Due to the aggression and intervention of the U.S. and other imperialist and dominating forces, the sovereignty of the country and nation is being wantonly violated, and war and disputes are ceaselessly taking place in different parts of the world.
The prevailing situation is calling for every country and nation to turn out as one in the struggle for smashing highhandedness and arbitrariness, aggression and encroachment of sovereignty of the imperialist reactionary forces, and for safeguarding sovereignty, and for implementing the cause of the global independence.
Under the pretext of the so-called “democracy” and “counter-terrorism”, the U.S. is committing aggression, intervention and genocide in different parts of the world.
The US-style colonialism advertised by the U.S. is the reactionary democracy which a tiny minority of power holders and the rich are oppressing and exploiting an absolute majority of no-right and poor people, and the aggressive democracy which a single superpower is suppressing and dominating many countries of the world.
The “counter-terrorism” being committed by the U.S. is the terror of states against the anti- US countries and a new variety of aggressive war.
What is important in the struggle against the imperialism is to stop and thwart aggression and war attempts of the U.S. and its vassal forces and to defend global peace and security.
The US imperialists are harassers and destroyers of the global peace and security and they are the main target in the struggle for implementing of the cause for the global independence. The peace-loving peoples of the world should not tolerate aggression and war attempts of imperialists over the sovereign states and should make active efforts to check danger of war and to safeguard global peace and security.
We should make vigorous efforts to dismantle aggressive military blocs driving military confrontation and war and to withdraw aggressive military bases deployed over the different countries of the world, thus building up a peaceful and new world.
We should be highly-alerted to the crafty attempts of imperialists being committed under the pretext of “defending of human rights” and “globalization”, and make active efforts to realize genuine international justice.
It is the unanimous desire of all the Korean people and the progressive peoples of the world to ultimately remove the threat of war and achieve lasting peace on the Korean peninsula.
Today the situation of the Korean peninsula is getting worse and worse running counter to the will and demand of the Korean people and the progressive peoples of the world. This is due to the none other than the US hostile policy toward the DPRK.
There are many countries and nations throughout the world and people of each country has the right to choose independently the political ideal and system of their own style in accordance with historical condition, tradition and lifestyle of their country, and their personal opinion and demand.
The different ideologies, ideals and political systems being existed in the different parts of the world can never be integrated into one at anyone’s imposition, and it is a wanton violation of sovereignty to attempt to force one’s will to others.
If such violation is allowed openly on the international arena, the political discipline of the world will be uncontrollably intricate, and conflicts and disputes take place without cease in the different parts of the world.
The United States (U.S.), however, while violently infringing upon international demand and order, turns its blind eyes to all the peace-loving proposals the DPRK has put forward so far and has persistently posed nuclear threat to the DPRK, nuke-free state, for several decades, and, moreover, is pursuing for 70-odd years the hostile policy to isolate and stifle the DPRK, which is pressing on along the road of socialism they chose by themselves, just merely for the reason that their ideology and system are different from others.
The U.S. is regarding the military stifle by dint of force as the main point of the hostile policy toward the DPRK.
In the 1950s, the U.S broke out a Korean war attempting to stifle young DPRK by dint of force, and in the 1960s and 1970s, cooked up shocking cases including a military spy ship “Pueblo”, “EC-121” large spy plane and Panmunjom Incident to drive the situation to the brink of a war, thus drawing severe concern of the world people.
The US hostile policy toward the DPRK has been extremely undisguised entering the new century and, due to this, current situation of the Korean peninsula has reached the worst phase and peace and security of the northeast Asia and the rest of the world gravely threatened.
The U.S., which set forth the physical removal of the DPRK as its national policy and forced even a war for its materialization in the last century, is, until today, persistently revising aggressive war scenarios for realizing “end of regime” and put it into operation the “nuke- consulting group” aimed at the use of nuclear weapons against the DPRK under the conspiracy of the south Korean bellicose forces. And on this basis, the U.S. has resumed large-scale nuclear war joint military exercises, of which its aggressive characters are as clear as a noonday, and introduced nuclear strategic assets to the Korean peninsula at a constant deployment level, thus maximizing threat of nuclear war against the DPRK to the worst-ever stage.
Not content with this, the U.S. is intensifying the establishment of 3-axis military alliance with Japan and the south Korean bellicose forces, and thus let the “Asian-version NATO”, the main root of war and aggression, eventually expose its absurd scheme, and this is a real and the gravest threat, not rhetoric threat or abstract entity.
According to the plan of the nuclear preemptive attack against the DPRK, they are conducting US-south Korea large-scale joint military drills, which is annual military war drills, in and around the south Korea by mobilizing nuclear weapons, WMDs and other huge aggressive forces, and are committing aerial reconnaissance for hundred times every month. All these military moves the U.S. is making against the DPRK are the main reason destroying peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in the northeast Asia, and, furthermore, resulting in escalation of situation in the region.
The US policy hostile towards the DPRK, as it is the comprehensive policy to stifle the DPRK in every field such as politics, economy and culture, serves vicious encroachment of sovereignty and criminal act unseen in the history which wantonly violated UN Charter and international laws on adhering to the principles of respect of sovereignty, non-interference
in internal affairs, territorial integrity, no aggression, equality and mutual benefit between the sovereign states.
It is the lesson we finally drew in the 70-odd-year-long confrontation with the US imperialists that, as a leopard cannot change its spot, the aggressive nature of imperialism will remain unchanged, and only when we confront with imperialism by dint of force, can we reliably safeguard sovereignty of the country and nation and firmly guarantee ever-lasting prosperity.
In such context of which frantic confrontation attempts of the hostile forces to stifle the DPRK by dint of nukes are clear and have reached the no-longer-tolerable phase, it is imperative to the DPRK to further strengthen self-defensive capabilities to firmly defend themselves. This is a legitimate right and exercise of sovereignty of the Korean people.
Comrade Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, to cope with reckless nuclear confrontation mania of the U.S. and its vassal forces, has put forward steadfast struggling principles toward the U.S. of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK)-“to Confront Nuke and Confrontation head-on with Its Kind!”, and is steering in the van the struggle of the Korean people to resolutely frustrate US and its followers’ attempts to provoke another new war and to reliably defend peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world.
Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un the tradition of victory the Korean people has achieved in the long struggle against the US imperialists will be continued, and the struggle of the Korean people to defend peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world and to build a fair and just new world will surely emerge victorious.
Now imperialists are leaving no stone unturned to annihilate anti-imperialist independent forces. They are inciting and escalating mistrust and conflict between countries and nations who are aspiring for independence, and are injecting hostility to those countries so that they cannot unite each other. In addition, they are wedging in the inter-national and inter- regional disputes and making it more intricate.
Under the banner of anti-imperialist independence all the progressive peoples of the world should turn its spearhead of struggle to opposing for imperialists, common enemy, and strengthen mutual support and solidarity, and firmly unite each other, thus creating an environment favorable for advancing the cause of the global independence.
