Revolutionary groups call for Aquino’s ouster, intensification of people’s war

Hundreds of members belonging to revolutionary organizations allied to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) marched along the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Cubao, Quezon City, in celebration of its 42nd founding anniversary this 24 April 2015. They called on the people to bring down the US-Aquino regime and for the intensification of the armed revolution. The lightning rally started at two points, one near the Cubao-LRT station in Aurora Boulevard, while the other group started to march from Cubao-MRT station, converged and held a program at Cubao’s main intersection.

“From its inception several months after Martial Law was declared, to this day, the NDFP has persevered in uniting the Filipino people for revolutionary change by waging the people’s democratic revolution with a socialist perspective through people’s war,” said the NDFP.

The NDFP unwaveringly unites the basic forces of the revolution, the Filipino workers and peasants, and the progressive forces and revolutionary organizations from the ranks of youth and students, women, teachers, government employees, artists, church people, and scientists, to fight the basic ills of the Philippine society — imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism.

Led by the Communist Party of the Philippines, NDFP’s allied organizations are the New People’s Army, Revolutionary Council of Trade Unions, Pambansang Katipunan ng mga Magbubukid (National Peasants League), Katipunan ng mga Samahang Manggagawa (League of Workers Associations), Kabataang Makabayan (Patriotic Youth), Malayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan (Free Movement of New Women), Makabayang Kawaning Pilipino (Patriotic Filipino Employees), Christians for National Liberation, Katipunan ng mga Gurong Makabayan (League of Patriotic Teachers), Artista at Manunulat para sa Sambayanan (Artists and Writers for the People), Makabayang Samahang Pangkalusugan (Patriotic Health Association), Liga ng Agham para sa Bayan (Science League for the People), COMPATRIOTS, Lupon ng Manananggol para sa Bayan (Lawyers Council for the People), Moro Resistance and Liberation Organization, and the Cordillera People’s Democratic Front.

“Through the years the NDFP has pursued the path for a genuine and lasting peace in the country. It brings to the forefront the just and legitimate demands of the toiling masses for genuine land reform; national industrialization; social services as a right of the people; national sovereignty and freedom from imperialist and foreign domination and oppression; nationalist, scientific, and mass oriented culture; right to self-determination for national minorities; and other democratic demands of the people.”

In stark contrast, the NDFP says the US-Aquino regime has “only aggravated the semifeudal and semicolonial crisis which is intensified by the prolonged depression experienced by the world capitalist system.”

“The US-Aquino regime has brought more hardship and burden to the Filipino masses by following the US imperialist impositions such as the policies of liberalization, privatization and deregulation. The US-Aquino regime worsened human rights violations, poverty and  unemployment, land-grabbing, corruption, high prices of basic commodities, privatization of social services and imposition of fees and continue to depress wages of workers.”

“The US-Aquino regime has willingly invited the US imperialist to build bases in the country and deploy more its military personnel via Visiting Forces Agreement and the signing of Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement. Aquino’s puppet regime allows the intensifying direct military intervention of the US in the country, as exemplified by US security forces joining direct military operations in Mamasapano, and denies the death of American military personnel during the encounter to cover-up the extent of US interventionism.”

The NPA, which is absolutely led by the Communist Party of the Philippines, is formidable with the people’s support and growing in strength, even as it faces the US-patterned fascist counter-revolutionary war of the Aquino regime under Oplan Bayanihan. The US-Aquino regime’s Oplan Bayanihan has miserably failed its target to crush the NPA and the revolutionary forces, while the military and its fascist security forces are factional and suffering the biggest blows on its morale since the US-Aquino masterminded the Mamasapano encounter.

“The Filipino people cannot be deceived by tricks of the Aquino regime which is blatantly anti-people, corrupt and US puppet. The people must unite and hold massive people’s protests that will force it to step down.”

Resonating the calls in their placards and streamers, the revolutionary organizations allied to the NDFP rallied the people to take part in protests to oust the US-Aquino regime, join the New People’s Army and support the people’s armed revolution being waged in the countryside in order to smash the rotten state and establish a true people’s government.

The NDFP helps in paving the way for the formation of organs of political power and eventually the democratic people’s government once the armed revolutionary forces and the people have toppled the entire rotten semifeudal and semicolonial system defended by the ruling class of big compradors and landlords now headed by Aquino and supported by its US imperialist master.
