Once again, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)’s online mouthpiece has been spewing vicious lies to malign the punitive actions of the New People’s Army (NPA) against notorious spies and counterrevolutionary criminals.
The recent punitive action by the Roselyn Jean Pelle Command (RJPC-NPA) was a product of mass action in the area. The local mass organizations and residents in Calatrava, Negros Occidental filed the case of a known local military asset to their revolutionary people’s court. They were participative in providing evidences, planning, and actual execution. Hence, its success was a small step but signifies meaningful response to the vicious mockery of the AFP.
In an effort to tarnish their dignity and weaken their will to fight, the AFP, their paid goons and assets inflicted killings and other forms of violence including threats, intimidation, and harassment to farm workers and farmers. The masses have been long disappointed and disillusioned from the reactionary state and their bureaucratic court that control justice to their own terms. Through the protracted people’s war and establishment of revolutionary political power, they are able to destroy the very structure that enables social and economic inequality. Only through their revolutionary people’s court they are well represented and able to bring justice and accountability.
No amount of disinformation will erase the long list of crimes and human rights violations of the AFP. The NPA, Party, and its revolutionary organs of power ensures that its expansion and consolidation efforts continue and is able to exceed its previous strength. Every step is calculated and every victory is sure to contribute to the onwards trajectory of the national democratic revolution.
