The National Democratic Front of the Philippines International Office extends its warmest revolutionary greetings to the CSRP on the occasion of its first general assembly in France on August 24, 2025.
As a member organization of the Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS), the CSRP has come a long way in igniting and spreading the flames of solidarity for the Philippine revolution among the French people. The formation and further strengthening of the revolutionary solidarity between the French and Filipino people as manifested by this assembly of the CSRP attest to the justness of the armed resistance of the Filipino people against the exploitative and oppressive semicolonial and semifeudal ruling system fostered by the three evils of US imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism.
This flame of revolutionary solidarity has long been lit between the Filipino and French peoples since the period of the US-Marcos dictatorship, and has continued firmly until today. French solidarity has long helped the NDFP in producing and disseminating Philippine revolutionary propaganda and materials in the French language reaching out even to those French-speaking peoples outside France, it helped amplify the Philippine revolution’s principled positions particularly against persistent attacks and slander by the counterrevolutionary Trotskyites. Most importantly, this solidarity has produced outstanding French activists who have fought side by side with the Filipino people.
This solidarity has produced not only a significant amount of material and political support for the Filipino people’s revolutionary struggle for national freedom and democracy, but has also brought to light the struggle of the French proletariat and people against monopoly capitalism and all forms of reaction.
Indeed, this first assembly of the CSRP marks an organizational advance in furthering the work of revolutionary solidarity for the Philippines not only in France but also globally. This should also be an occasion to trumpet the message of resistance against imperialism and reaction not only to the French proletariat and people, but also to the rest of the peoples of Europe.
The challenges at the moment for those in solidarity with the Philippine revolution are, to persistently fight the demonization of the people’s right to national self-determination, to expose the reactionary regime’s gross violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) particularly in the conduct of the civil war between the US-Marcos regime, and the armed revolutionary forces carried out by the New People’s Army (NPA) under the absolute leadership of the Party. Furthermore, solidarity allies are challenged to unrelentingly condemn and expose before the international community the brutal all-out war of the US-Marcos regime that is devastating the life and livelihood of the Filipino people especially in the rural countryside.
As we firmly congratulate you on this momentous occasion, we conclude by sharing with you the words of solidarity of CPP Founding Chairman Prof. Jose Maria Sison, delivered on December 14, 2019, during the launch of the French edition of the Philippine Society and Revolution:
“In fighting for national and social liberation, the Filipino people have been self-reliant but have also needed the solidarity and support of other peoples. At the same time, they always desire that their revolutionary struggle contributes to the advance of the world proletarian revolution overall and that their revolutionary forces can engage in concrete forms of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and mutual support under the principles of anti-imperialist solidarity and proletarian internationalism.”
