The Natonal Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) warmly congratulates the Venezuelan people and President Nicolas Maduro for the victorious presidential election. The Filipino people greet the successful re-election of President Maduro with a very high 68 % of the total votes for the Frente Amplia de la Patria, whose official candidate was President Maduro. The total number of voters was 9.2 million, of which 6.711.110 voted for the Frente Amplia de la Patria.
Opposition candidates, Henry Falcon of the Avanzada Progresista got 20.2 % and Evangelical Pastor Jvier Bertucci of the Movement Hope for Change got 10.4%.
The bulk of the opposition called for a boycott and abstention, following the Trump regime and the Cartel of Lima headed by Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
Despite the acts of sabotage and dire threats of military intervention by the Trump regime, the Venezuelan people exercised their sovereign right to elect President Nicolas Maduro.
The Frente Amplia de la Patria and President Nicolas Maduro are determined to persist in their pro-people programs, providing food, health, education and housing to millions of Venezuelans. They resolutely undertake effective economic programs to counter the sabotage actions of the U.S. imperialist regime of Trump and its cohorts among the governments of Colombia, Brazil and Argentina, among others.
The National Democratic Front of the Philippines reiterates its firm solidarity with the heroic Venezuelan people and President Nicolas Maduro.
