Long live the National Democratic Front of the Philippines!

Statement of the COMPATRIOTS-NDFP on the 52nd anniversary of the NDFP

With raised fists, Compatriots-NDFP—the revolutionary organization of Filipinos overseas—joins the 17 other allied revolutionary organizations of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) in giving a revolutionary salute to the NDFP on its 52nd founding anniversary this April 24th, 2025.

As we continuously affirm and heed the calls of the third rectification movement launched by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), Compatriots-NDFP strives to expand and strengthen the revolutionary mass movement of overseas Filipinos in order to advance the national democratic revolution in the Philippines. Our founding assembly held in March 2025 serves as a contribution to strengthening the NDFP and revolutionary mass movement as a whole.

Even abroad, Filipinos face exploitation and oppression at the hands of the US-Marcos II regime. We are fleeced of millions of dollars in the form of mandatory fees. We are denied of immediate welfare, legal, and financial assistance and left abandoned, especially those of us who are undocumented. We are victims of state-sponsored human trafficking, which has been institutionalized through the state’s policy labor export, particularly through its Department of Migrant Workers. And we face surveillance and fascist attacks from militarized Philippine embassies and consulates, which house and direct personnel from the Philippine military, police, and National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

To counter these attacks on Filipinos overseas, Compatriots–NDFP remains steadfast in arousing, organizing, and mobilizing our fellow Filipinos abroad. We collectively fight for immediate rights and welfare needs while linking and raising these fights to the struggle against imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism, and feudalism that are at the root of our suffering. We build our chapters of COMPATRIOTS-NDFP—including overseas formations of Kabataang Makabayan, Makibaka, Christians for National Liberation, and others—to ensure that our diaspora serves as an organized partner of the CPP in leading and strengthening the patriotic mass movement of Filipinos overseas, with workers at the core.

We continue to uphold and support the 12-point program of the NDFP as the major rallying calls of the revolutionary movement of the Filipino masses. We uplift the crucial task of promoting and supporting the revolutionary armed struggle in the countryside, and launching and sustaining the Cherish the People’s Army campaign. COMPATRIOTS-NDFP calls on Filipinos overseas to contribute directly to advancing the people’s war by increasing our political, material, and moral support to the New People’s Army and to the revolutionary mass bases being built across the Philippine countryside, including by returning home and joining the revolutionary armed struggle.

On this 52nd anniversary, COMPATRIOTS-NDFP is resolute in advancing the People’s Democratic Revolution in the Philippines to end the ruling system that forces millions of us to work and live abroad. We commit ourselves to advancing the struggle for national democracy in our homeland, which also serves as our best contribution to anti-imperialist solidarity and to advancing the international proletarian revolution.

Onward to genuine freedom, peace, and democracy toward a socialist future!

Long live the National Democratic Front of the Philippines!

Long live the People’s Democratic Revolution!
