The recent election is no barometer of the people’s trust

The NTF-Elcac is utterly delusional in using the recent rotten and filthy election as a barometer of the people’s trust.

“The election was riddled with reports of anomalies, fraud, and violence,” Marco Valbuena, chief information officer of the Communist Party of the Philippines, said.

“The Comelec failed to explain the widespread issues with the Miru machines, evident in the highly questionable system upgrade, which was different from the certified version,” Valbuena added.

“The cheating and manipulation of election results were blatant and systematic, as shown by the staggering scale of anomalies such as the invalidation of over 18 million votes due to overvoting, and the double counting of 5 million votes,” the CPP official underscored.

Valbuena further said, “Numerous names disappeared from the voters list, low migrant voter turnout due to the sudden shift to online voting, and countless other complaints-all contradicting Comelec’s claim of unprecedented record voter participation.”

“In the face of systematic and widespread fraud, only those who are crazy will claim that the elections reflects the people’s sentiment,” Valbuena declared. “To say it measures the people’s trust in progressive parties is even more insane.”

“It is also absurd for the NTF-Elcac to assert that the election proves the people’s lack of support for armed revolution,” Valbuena said. “The NPA did not run as candidates in the elections.”

“The election was dominated by representatives of the ruling classes, split between the most despicable Marcos and Duterte cliques and their cronies and hangers-on,” Valbuena explained. “It did not bring any fundamental change to Philippine society. It did not even give Congress and the Senate a new face, as the same bureaucrat-capitalists remained seated in power.”

“The NTF-Elcac is laser-focused on attacking progressive parties it accuses of being ‘CPP-affiliated’ to obscure these parties’ genuine fight for the poor and the people’s freedom,” Valbuena stated.

“It accuses progressives of ‘insurgency in electoral disguise,’ even though they have no guns and chose to compete through ideas to win votes in an arena clearly controlled by wealthy bureaucrat families and driven by money, influence, and violence.”

“The CPP and the entire revolutionary movement harbor no illusions about the reactionary elections,” Valbuena concluded. “The Party’s call is clear: Revolution is the true solution to the fundamental problems of the Filipino people. Until these problems are confronted and solved, armed struggle will persist and intensify.”
