SALUTE AND GIVE TRIBUTE TO THE MARTYRS OF THE REVOLUTION IN NEMR

Today, August 9, 2018, we celebrate Martyrs Day in North Eastern Mindanao Region (NEMR). On this day we render our highest salute and give tribute to the martyrs of the revolution. On this day also we remember Fr. Frank “Ka Migo” Navarro who gave up his life to serve the people and the revolution. Ka Migo was a revolutionary priest who joined the New People’s Army (NPA) and became a Party cadre in the region.

The martyrs of the revolution in the region for the first six months of 2018 are Dominador “Ka Bryan” Catapti Jr; Bayoyo “Ka Hector “ Baranggan; Archel “Ka Pet” Bellancio; Junry “Ka Jhonny” Alamada; Kenith “Ka Elpe” Yuboc; Junry “Ka Rey” Cabug-os and Ramel “Ka Jasper” Tac-an.

Their lives were cut short in the struggle to liberate the country and the Filipino people from imperialist rule and from the local oppressive and exploitative classes. Theirs is a concrete expression of fulfilling class duty and commitment to serve the people.

According to Comrade Mao Zedong, “If there is struggle, there is also sacrifice, and death is but a common occurrence. But death has varying significance. There is death that is lighter than a feather and death heavier than any mountain. To die for the oppressors and exploiters is lighter than a feather while to die for the exploited and oppressed is heavier than any mountain.”

It cannot be denied that we were saddened by their deaths, but we have to accept this as reality. Even if we do not join the struggle, death will come, thus we must choose a death “heavier than the Diwata mountain.” This is a sacrifice that creates new life, a death that inspire others to continue the cause the comrades died for and left behind. Like them, we must put the interest of the people, Party and revolution over our own interests.

They are the new heroes of our time. They fulfilled the oath to “live with the masses and die for the masses.”

They may have died, but the lessons they left behind, lives. They were not defeated by adversities, exhaustion, hunger, illness and sacrifice. Their lives were cut short by the fascist mercenary AFP, PNP, CAFGU, Bagani-Magahat and other paramilitaries in their desperate attempt to douse the raging struggle of the people. The Filipino people’s liberation exclusively marked their hearts. They fearlessly fought the exploiters, the oppressors, the puppet government and the fascist mercenaries.

They are the revolutionary martyrs of the national democratic revolution. We should take their deaths as a challenge to further strengthen our principles and commitment. We must take on their unfinished tasks and continue along the path enriched with their blood towards total victory!

SALUDUHAN UG PASIDUNGGAN ANG MGA MARTIR SA REBOLUSYON SA NEMR

Karong Agusto 9, 2018 atong isaulog ang Adlaw sa mga Martir sa North Eastern Mindanao Region (NEMR). Niini nga adlaw atong ihatag ang taas nga pagsaludo ug pasidungog sa mga martir sa rebolusyon. Niini usab nga adlaw atong dumdumon ang paghalad ni Fr. Frank “Ka Migo” Navarro sa iyang kinabuhi ngadto sa pag-alagad sa katawhan ug sa rebolusyon. Si Ka Migo usa ka rebolusyonaryong pari nga misampa sa Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB) ug nahimong kadre sa Partido sa rehiyon.

Ang mga martir sa rebolusyon sa rehiyon sa unang unom ka bulan sa tuig 2018 mao sila si Dominador “Ka Bryan” Catapti Jr; Bayoyo “Ka Hector “ Baranggan; Archel “Ka Pet” Bellancio; Junry “Ka Jhonny” Alamada; Kenith “Ka Elpe” Yuboc; Junry “Ka Rey” Cabug-os ug Ramel “Ka Jasper” Tac-an.

Nakalas ang ilang mga kinabuhi sa pakigbisog aron ilingkawas ang nasud ug ang katawhang Pilipino gikan sa imperyalistang paghari ug lokal nga madaugdaugon ug mapahimuslanong hut-ong. Kini maoy kongkretong ekspresyon sa pagpatuman sa makihut-ong nga katungdanan ug bug-os nga pag-alagad sa katawhan.

Matod ni Kaubang Mao Zedong, “Kun adunay pakigbisog aduna usab sakripisyo ug ang kamatayon ordinaryo na nga panghitabo. Apan ang kamatayon adunay managkalahing gibug-aton. May kamatayong gaan pa kaysa balahibo ug may kamatayon usab nga bug-at pa kaysa bisag unsang bukid. Ang mamatay alang sa mga madaugdaugon ug mapahimuslanon gaan pa kaysa balahibo samtang ang mamatay alang sa katawhang dinaugdaog ug linupigan bug-at pa kaysa bisag unsang bukid.”

Dili ikalimod nga nasubo kita sa ilang kamatayon apan mao kini ang kamatuoran. Bisan og dili mosalmot sa pakigbisog moabot gihapon kanato ang kamatayon mao nga mas pillion nato ang kamatayon nga “bug-at pa kaysa bukid Diwata.” Usa kini nga sakripisyo nga mopahimugso og bag-ong kinabuhi, kamatayong mopalig-on sa uban nga ipadayon ang kawsang gipakamatyan ug nabiyaan sa mga kauban. Himoon nato nga sumbanan ang ilang pagpatigbabaw sa interes sa katawhan, sa Partido ug sa rebolusyon kaysa sa ilang kaugalingong interes.

Sila ang mga bag-ong bayani sa atong panahon. Natuman nila ang gipanumpaang “magpakabuhi uban sa masa ug magpakamatay alang sa masa.”

Nahanaw man sila, apan nagpabiling buhi ang ilang mga gibiling pagtulun-an. Wala sila mapukan sa kalisdanan, sa kakapoy, sa kagutom, sa sakit ug sakripisyo. Gikutlo ang ilang mga kinabuhi sa mga pasistang berdugong AFP, PNP, CAFGU, Bagani-Magahat ug uban pang paramilitar sa desperadong tinguha niining pagngon ang nagdilaab nga pakigbisog sa katawhan. Bugtong nakulit sa ilang kasingkasing ang kalingkawasan sa katawhang Pilipino. Walay kukahadlok nilang gisuklan ang mga mapahimuslanon, ang mga madaugdaugon, ang itoy nga gobyerno ug ang mga pasistang berdugo.

Sila ang mga rebolusyonaryong martir sa nasudnon demokratikong rebolusyon. Ang ilang kamatayon himoon natong hagit pinaagi sa pagpalig-on pa sa atong mga prinsipyo ug baruganan. Ipadayon ang ilang mga tahas nga wala pa mahuman ug padayong subayon ang dalan nga gibisbisan sa ilang dugo hangtud sa pagkab-ot sa hingpit nga kadaugan!
