The Compatriots-NDFP, the revolutionary organization of overseas Filipinos denounces in the strongest possible terms the renewed US-Israeli bombings against Iran, which massacred almost 300 Iranians—including more than 100 students at an elementary school—in addition to the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. US imperialism and its bloodthirsty Zionist lapdogs now threaten to drag the Iranian people, the peoples of West Asia, and millions of migrant workers—including over two million Filipinos—into the graveyard of imperialist war.
We refuse to be fooled by the fake propaganda campaign of the US and Israel that portray Iran as the main aggressor and enemy of the peoples of West Asia. It is the US that engineered a coup to topple a democratically elected government in Iran in 1953 and proceeded to starve the people through crippling sanctions. It is the Zionist state of Israel with billions of dollars in US funding and political support that continue the genocide of the Palestinian people. It proves one thing, US Imperialist together with its puppet Zionist are the No. 1 Terrorist in the world!
However, the struggle for self-determination of the Iranian people can never be accomplished as long as they are under the boot of the United States and its fascist puppets in the region.
We condemn the US-backed Marcos regime for playing puppet to Trump’s war agenda. Marcos has invited the US to turn the entire archipelago into its de facto military base and launching pad for war throughout the country—not just through Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sites, but also through the positioning of “rotational” troops and mobile missile systems like the Typhon. Not only does this grow the US’ capacity for war in the Asia Pacific region, it also puts a target on the Philippines’ back for the US’ rivals to strike, as Iran did to US bases in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates in response to the US’ illegal bombings.
We call on the Filipino people—especially our compatriot migrants and diaspora living and working in West Asia—to unite and condemn US imperialist aggression on Iran and the entire region. Join the peoples of the world in anti-imperialist solidarity and go out into the streets to demand an end to the war on Iran and the US continuing Imperialist aggression in different parts of the world.
At the same time, we also call on the Filipino people to fight back against US occupation of our own homeland. Our best deterrent to US-instigated war is our own people’s democratic revolution to push back the forces of imperialism and its fascist bureaucrat capitalist puppets and an end to the semi-colonial and semi-feudal system in the country that is the root causes of systematic and institutionalized forced migration. Just as the Axis of Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and throughout the region have been accumulating their strength to continue the fight against imperialist and Zionist war, so too must the Filipino people continue our own armed resistance for national and social liberation towards socialism and until all forms of exploitation and oppression are ended. ###
