On Receipt of GRP SOMO and SOPO

NDFP Negotiating Panel

The Negotiating Panel of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines hereby confirms receipt at 08:54 H, today, 26 December 2019, Dutch time, of the following:

  1. Suspension of Offensive Military Operations (SOMO) dated 24 December 2019 issued by Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP); and,
  2. Suspension of Offensive Police Operations (SOPO) dated 22 December 2019 issued by Officer in Charge, Philippine National Police (OIC, PNP), in compliance with the Memorandum issued by Sec. Eduardo M. Ano of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) dated 23 December 2019.

We thank Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III for sending to us the above-mentioned documents.

We hope that from hereon the unilateral and reciprocal ceasefires declared by the two Parties shall proceed effectively.###
