The National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) warmly congratulates the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela led by President Nicolas Maduro for winning a seat in the prestigious United Nations Human Rights Council on October 17, 2019.

This historical diplomatic victory was achieved by winning the votes of 105 United Nations member states. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will serve as a member of the UN Human Rights Council for three years from January 1, 2020 until December 31, 2022.

The revolutionary Filipino people, standing in firm solidarity with the heroic Venezuelan people, hail this great diplomatic victory of President Nicolas Maduro and his very effecive Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza. This is also a great victory of the Venezuelan people and the Venezuelan Armed Forces and Militia who stand firm with President Maduro against the vicious US imperialist criminal schemes of sabotage, embargo and threats of military intervention.

We likewise hail the powerful international solidarity from peoples, anti-imperialist and progressive governments, alliances and organizations throughout the world that provides firm support to the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarin Republic of Venezuela under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro. They interact and build a strong anti-imperialist movement for national independence, democracy, sovereignty and peace.

Long live the powerful inspiration of the Great Liberator Simo Bolivar and Comandante Hugo Chavez Frias!
Long live the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela led by President Nicolas Maduro!
Long live the heroic Venezuelan people!
