Als Revolutionaire Eenheid brengen we onze diepe condoleances en een laatste saluut aan kameraad Fidel Agcaoili, voorzitter van het NDFP onderhandelingspanel en een levenslange revolutionair.
Vanwege zijn vervolgingen in de Filipijnen woonde Fidel, samen met veel van zijn kameraden, al geruime tijd in Nederland. Door de jaren heen hebben we Fidel leren kennen als een zeer toegewijde kameraad die altijd bereid was om ons bij de hand te nemen en zijn kennis te delen. Bovendien was Fidel altijd opgewekt en geestig, zijn aanwezigheid in de ruimte was als een zonnestraal.
Fidel Agcaoili was de langst vastzittende politieke gevangene tijdens de Marcos dictatuur in de Filipijnen. Hij zette zich onzelfzuchtig in voor de bevrijding van alle politieke gevangenen, onder andere als voorzitter van Selda, een organisatie voor politieke gevangenen.
Aan onze Filipijnse kameraden overzee en in Nederland, we beloven jullie dat we de strijdlust, compassie en geest van Ka Fidel in ere zullen houden met de internationalistische revolutionaire strijd.
Kasama Fidel Agcaoili zal nooit vergeten worden. Rest in power, kameraad.

Revolutionaire Eenheid extends our deepest condolences and a final salute to Comrade Fidel Agcaoili, chairman of the NDFP negotiating panel and a lifelong revolutionary.
Because of his persecutions in the Philippines, Fidel, along with many of his comrades, was living in the Netherlands for quite some time. Over the years, we have come to know Fidel as a very devoted comrade who was always willing to take us by the hand and share his knowledge with us. In addition, Fidel was always cheerful and bright, his presence in the room was like a ray of sunshine.
Fidel Agcaoili was the longest-serving political prisoner of the Marcos dictatorship in the Philippines. He selflessly campaigned for the liberation of all political prisoners, including as chairman of Selda, an organization for political prisoners.
To our Filipino comrades overseas and in the Netherlands, we promise to honor Ka Fidel’s fighting spirit, his compassion and his spirit by carrying on the internationalist revolutionary struggle.
Kasama Fidel Agcaoili will never be forgotten. Rest in power, comrade.
