Liberation International joins the entire revolutionary movement in taking great pride in Ka Cleo Del Mundo and her appointment as the new spokesperson of Melito Glor Command (MGC).
Ka Cleo made history as the first female spokesperson of Melito Glor Command, the New People’s Army (NPA) regional operational command in Southern Tagalog in the Philippines, highlighting the vital role of women in the revolutionary armed struggle. The post was previously held by the beloved Ka Roger Rosal, Ka Bart Alcantara, Ka Jamie Padilla and Ka Armando Cienfuego.
A seasoned NPA commander, Ka Cleo previously served as the spokesperson of Apolonio Mendoza Command in Quezon. She has been an excellent organiser and propagandist since joining Kabataang Makabayan in Quezon and later the New People’s Army.
On September, in her first message as regional spokesperson, she pledges to fight any fake news and disinformation peddled by the US-Marcos II regime and its armed forces and underscores the unwavering resolve of the red fighters and determination of the Filipino people to defeat and end the US-Marcos II regime’s counter-revolutionary war.
Ka Cleo is an indomitable force, inspiring women, especially the younger generation, to take up the path of the armed struggle, as the only way to liberate the Philippines from the shackles of feudalism, bureaucrat capitalism and imperialism.
