The NDFP-Mindanao joins the Filipino people in celebrating the 53rd founding anniversary of the Kabataang Makabayan (KM), which, in the past five dacades, stood effectively as the vanguard of the national-democratic movement of the Filpino youth. This occasion is also made more significant because the nation is also celebrating the 154rd birth anniversary of the father of the 1896 revolution, Gat Andres Bonifacio.
Inspired and imbued with the revolutionary fervor of Andres Bonifacio, the KM has remained true to its task of integrating themselves among the exploited and oppressed classes of workers and peasants to help advance their anti-imperialist and anti-feudal struggles through a national democratic revolution with a socialist perspective. Steeled by the struggles of the people, the KM evolved into a shining beacon of revolutionary attitude and culture by carrying out its tasks in the national democratic propaganda movement against feudal and imperialist-dominated thought and influences.
The NDFP-Mindanao renders its salute to the hundreds of Kabataan Makabayan martyrs who have unselfishly offered their lives while taking part in revolutionary armed struggle and for the advancement of the national democratic revolution.
Recently, Duterte tagged the CPP-NPA-NDFP as “terrorists” and issued a “shoot to kill” order against these revolutionary organizations. These fascist directives are not only leveled against the revolutionary movement but also against the masses and anyone and everyone who oppose him. The Duterte regime will not hesitate to crackdown on legitimate progressive organizations, using the reactionary government’s every legal armament and security forces to either have dissenters imprisoned or eliminate them by way of summary killings that are carried out by state-sponsored death squads.
In these current times, the youth under the banner of KM must unite and strengthen themselves more in facing the US-Duterte regime’s wars of death and destruction as Duterte escalates in his ambition to become an abhorrent dictator as Marcos. It must display its determination in fighting against this new tyranny as it had so courageously shown when it fought against the US-Marcos regime. The KM must work tirelessly, alongside the workers, peasants and other sectors of society, to overthrow the US-Duterte regime.
The NDFP-Mindanao once again raises a salute to all members of KM who have stood unfazed and determined for decades to continue Gat Andres Bonifacio’s unfinished revolution. Continue to integrate and never part with the aspirations and struggle of the Filipino people.
In this regard, we call on all KM members to join the New People’s Army to become its Red commanders and fighters as well as political officers, and defend the people from the onslaught of the fascist forces of the US-Duterte regime and against the continuing aggression and intervention of US imperialism.#

Sa ika-53 nga anibersaryo sa pagkatukod sa KM:
ANG KABATAANG MAKABAYAN KINAHANGLANG MAKIGHIUSA SA KATAWHAN ALANG SA PAGPALAGPOT SA PASISTANG REHIMENG US-DUTERTE
Nakighiusa ang NDFP-Mindanao ngadto sa katawhang Pilipino sa pagsaulog sa ika-53 nga anibersaryo sa pagkatukod sa Kabataang Makabayan (KM) nga nahimong epektibong mibarug, sulod sa lima ka dekada, isip nag-unang han-ay sa kabatan-onang Pilipino. Kining okasyon nahimong mahinungdanon usab tungod kay ginasaulog sa nasud ang ika-154 nga anibersaryo sa pagkatawo sa amahan sa rebolusyong 1896 nga si Gat Andres Bonifacio.
Napasibot ug naghupot sa rebolusyonaryong kadasig ni Andres Bonifacio, ang KM nagpabiling matinud-anong mituman sa tahas niini nga pagsumpay ngadto sa gipahimuslan ug dinaugdaug nga mga hut-ong sa mamumuo ug mag-uuma aron nga iasdang ang ilang anti-imperyalista ug anti-pyudal nga mga pakigbisog pinaagi sa usa ka nasudnon demokratikong rebolusyon nga may sosyalistang perspektiba. Nasubhan diha sa pakigbisog sa katawhan, ang KM nahimong usa ka mahayag nga sulo sa paghupot sa rebolusyonaryong aktitud ug kultura pinaagi sa pagpaasdang sa nasudnon demokratikong propaganda batok sa pyudal ug maki-imperyalista nga mga panghunahuna ug impluwensya.
Ang NDFP-Mindanao nagsaludo sa gatosan ka mga martir sa Kabataang Makabayan sa dili makikaugalingong paghalad sa ilang kinabuhi alang sa pagsalmot sa armadong pakigbisog ug sa pagpaasdang sa nasudnon demokratikong rebolusyon.
Bag-ohay pa lang, si Duterte nag-ila sa CPP-NPA-NDFP isip mga “teroristang” organisasyon ug nag-isyu og mandong “shoot-to-kill” batok kanila. Kining mga militaristang direktiba nakapunting dili lang ngadto sa rebolusyonaryong kalihukan apan ngadto usab sa katawhan ug sa bisan kinsang mosupak kaniya. Dili magduhaduha ang rehimeng Duterte nga sumpuon ang mga lehitimong progresibong organisasyon, ginamit ang legal nga mga pamaagi ug mga pwersang pangseguridad aron ibilanggo ang mga mosupak, o pamatyon sila pinaagi sa ekstrahudisyal nga pagpamatay nga gipatuman sa gi-isposor sa estado nga mga death squad.
Kining mga panahona, ang mga kabatan-onan nga nagalihok ubos sa bandera sa KM angayang maghiusa ug labaw nga magmalig-on sa pag-atubang sa mga gera sa kamatayon ug paggun-ob sa rehimeng US-Duterte, samtang nagpadulong si Duterte nga mahimong gikasilagang diktador nga sama ni Marcos. Kinahanglang ipakita sa KM ang determinasyon niini sa pagsukol batok sa bag-ong diktadura ni Duterte sama sa maisugong pagsukol nga gipakita niini batok sa diktadurang US-Marcos. Kinahanglang walay kakapoy nga magkugi ang KM uban sa mga mamumuo ug mag-uuma ug uban pang sektor sa katilingban aron palagputon ang rehimeng US-Duterte.
Sa makausa pa, nagsaludo ang NDFP-Mindanao ngadto sa tanang membro sa KM nga mibarug nga maisugon ug determinado sulod sa pila ka dekada aron ipadayon ang wala nahuman nga rebolusyon ni Gat Andres Bonifacio. Kanunay nga makigduyog ug dili mobulag sa pangandoy ug pakigbisog sa katawhang Pilipino.
Gi-awhag ang tanang membro sa KM nga mosampa sa Bagong Hukbong Bayan aron mahimong mga Pulang kumander ug manggugubat ug pangpulitikang opisyal niini, ug panalipdan ang katawhan batok sa pagpang-atake sa mga pasistang pwersa sa rehimeng US-Duterte, ug batok sa nagpadayong agresyon ug pagpanghilabot sa imperyalismong US.
Palagputon ang rehimeng US-Duterte!
Mabuhi ang kabatan-onang Pilipino! Mabuhi ang Kabataang Makabayan!
