National Democratic Front of the Philippines

On 24 April, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) will mark its 35th founding anniversary as the revolutionary united front organization of the Filipino people fighting for national independence and the democratic rights of the people. Since its founding in 1973, the NDFP has promoted the unity of the progressive classes and sectors within Philippine society for the people’s struggle for national and social liberation. Outside the Philippines, it has gathered increasing moral, political and material support for the revolutionary movement at home.

NDFP allied organizations and the revolutionary people in the Philippines will celebrate this milestone in the revolutionary bases and guerrilla fronts in the countryside as well as in the cities and towns. Outside of the country, the International Information Office of the NDFP is spearheading a celebration on 26 April 2008 in Amsterdam with the theme, "Celebrating 35 years of the Filipino people's victories in their struggle for national liberation".

We shall appreciate a solidarity message from you on this occasion. We are also asking for your financial support for our campaign to help the thousands of victims of the recent disastrous floods and landslides in Samar and other parts of the Philippines and for the campaign of the families of NDFP consultants in the peace negotiations who have been killed and disappeared. As part of our fundraising, during the anniversary celebration we will be selling art works on the Filipino people’s revolutionary struggle.

A bank account has been opened for this fundraising campaign. Financial contributions can be sent to:
