The Macapagal-Arroyo government has given full access to foreign mining corporations to ravage our mineral resources.The Philippines rank 3rd in gold deposits and 4th in copper. These companies raked in billions in profits while the peasants and the workers are displaced and lost their livelihood. All these with the blessings of the extortionist US-GMA regime together with the Supreme Court that received US $50 million from giant mining companies to declare legal and constitutional the Mining Act of 1995 in 2006.
