These companies raked in billions in profits while the peasants and the workers are displaced and lost their livelihood. All these with the blessings of the extortionist US-GMA regime together with the Supreme Court that received US $50 million from giant mining companies to declare legal and constitutional the Mining Act of 1995 in 2006.
