CPP condemns US troops’ participation in Sulu attack

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today condemned the participation of US troops in an attack on an island village in Sulu last February 4 that left eight civilians dead, including two children and a pregnant woman.

In a sworn statement, Sandrawina Wahid, one of the survivors, testified that she saw four US soldiers on the Philippine Navy vessel that brought the attacking troops to the island barangay of Ipil in Maimbung, Sulu last Monday. Wahid's husband Ibnul, an MNLF integree, was one of those shot in cold blood by the attacking soldiers.
