The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) can only spew lies in their black propaganda and vilification campaign against CPP-NPA. The 2nd Infantry Division, in a press interview, condemned the New People’s Army for killing “former NPA rebel” Rodel Agudes at 5am of August 15 in Sitio Apia, Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City.
In their press release to the media, Lt. Col Christopher Diaz of the 80th Infantry Battalion stated that the killing was part of the NPA’s “organizational cleansing, targeting their former members who have since ‘lie low’ and abandoned their cause”, when in fact Agudes never became an NPA member and will never become one because he is a criminal and an asset of AFP.
The truth is that Rodel Agudes, a.k.a “Unog” , is notorious for his crimes as leader of a hold-up syndicate that murders their victims in Antipolo City and Rodriguez. Rizal. In fact, he was once a wanted criminal being tracked by PNP-Rizal. He was a Con Man. He even duped a relative to give to him the 9mm pistol and thousand worth of cash entrusted by NPA to his relative.
When the AFP recruited “Unog” to become a member of Barrio Intelligence Network (BIN) in Calawis, Antipolo City, the PNP-Rizal stopped hunting him. He became an active intelligence asset go the AFP providing information on NPA whereabouts while continuing his criminal activities.
It is for these crimes that he was meted a death penalty by the People’s Revolutionary Court which the Narciso Antazo Aramil Command-NPA Rizal implemented after series of warning and opportunities to mend his ways were disregarded. Rodel Agudes was punished by NPA partisan operatives last Aug. 15, 2019, while he was conducting intelligence gathering operation against the NPA forces in Rizal.
The people of Calawis and Antipolo City and family members of his victims jubilantly thank the NPA forces for giving them justice. It was a long awaited justice for the victims of Agudes. Only the AFP officers handling him and who benefitted from his criminal syndicate disapproved his death and grieving the loss of one of their trusted lackeys.
To get even, the AFP officers in Southern Tagalog are desperately trying fool the people by creating webs of lies to taint the CPP-NPA-NDFP’s good name. But no amount of black propaganda and lies can cover up the truth. The people in Rizal province know better. The truth is on the side of the people’s revolutionary movement. The NPA will continue to implements its role to protect the interest of the Filipino people.
