on His Election as BISHOP of the EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF CENTRAL PHILIPPINES
The National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) warmly congratulates Rev. Rex RB Reyes, Jr. on his being elected Bishop of the EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF CENTRAL PHILIPPINES, Episcopal Church in the Philippines.
We in the NDFP know very well that he has all the qualities of a Church leader who has proven in his life his dedication and service to the Filipino people. He certainly deserves to be given this high and responsible function for the benefit of the people.
We know Rev. Rex RB Reyes, Jr. very well. He has generously accepted to be the NDFP Nominated Independent Observer of the Joint Monitoring Commitee (JMC) under the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL).

Despite his many tasks and duties for the Church and his people, he fulfills with dedication and enthusiasm his important work as NDFP Nominated Independent Observer in the JMC. He attends and actively participates in the meetings of the JMC, whether in Manila or abroad. His participation is appreciated and welcomed by both the NDFP and GRP members of the JMC. He gives concrete proposals for the improvement of the work of the JMC.
We appeciate vey much his dedicated work as a staunch advocate for a just and lasting peace. We have witnessed his fine work as Co-Chairperson of the Philippine Ecumenical Peace Platform (PEPP) which has strongly called for: “Resume Peace Talks Now! Respect All Agreements! Address the Roots of the Armed Conflict!”
We convey our most heartfelt best wishes to him on his being elected Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Philippines!
