Dear comrades,
The Party of the Committees to Support Resistance – for Communism (CARC) salutes the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) on occasion of the 40th anniversary of its constitution. We bring our greetings on behalf of Italian people’s masses and of our revolutionary communist movement. We bring our greetings for all the fallen in the long struggle against the reactionary and fascist regimes supported by US imperialist you have faced one after the other until today. Please extend our greetings to all Party members, to the fighters of the People’s Army, to all those who fight in all struggle fronts for liberating your country from oppression and exploitation.
On occasion of this anniversary we translated in Italian language the synthetic history of the Communist Party of the Philippines written by Armando Liwanag on December 1988. We enclose it here and recommend to read it. The communist movement of the Philippines is one of the most important of the world, one of the first that joined the movement against revisionism and that carried it out, one of those who has been able to combine at best the action of the Party, of the People’s Army and of the Front, who has had a protagonist role in the fast development of the widest and most important aggregation of mass organizations on the international level, the International League of People’s Struggle. All the Communists of the world may learn very much from Filipino communist movement and from the Party that leads it.
We shall keep on strengthening the ties between the struggle the communist movements and the people’s masses of Italy and of the Philippines are carrying out, through the theoretical exchange and debate and the practical cooperation, and the mutual solidarity against repression.
Dear comrades, the international communist movement cannot advance without valorising your experience and without every new thing you brought to our patrimony. It cannot either advance without facing the new challenges, without seizing power in imperialist countries. This is the new, what we have not yet done, what distinguishes us from the past, the most difficult passage. Advancing on this ground, we develop Marxism-Leninism-Maoism in a new way, because only with this weapon and only working out its effectiveness we shall win. It is important, or better still is necessary that your and our experience confront and improve each other, working out Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as the revolutionary theory guiding the new wave of proletarian revolution, making parties and organizations of the international communist movement appropriate it and applying it to the specific concrete situations of every country, of the imperialist and of the oppressed and neo-colonial countries.
Future is ours!

Cari compagni,
il Partito dei Comitati d’Appoggio alla Resistenza – per il Comunismo saluta il Partito Comunista delle Filippine (PCF) in occasione del 40° anniversario della sua costituzione. Vi portiamo il nostro saluto in nome delle masse popolari del nostro paese e del nostro movimento comunista rivoluzionario. Portiamo questo saluto per tutti coloro che sono caduti nella lunga lotta contro i regimi reazionari e fascisti sostenuti dagli imperialisti americani che avete affrontato uno dopo l’altro fino ad oggi. Vi preghiamo di estendere il nostro saluto a tutti i membri del Partito, ai combattenti dell’Esercito Popolare, a coloro che combattono su tutti i fronti di lotta per liberare il vostro paese dall’oppressione e dallo sfruttamento.
In occasione di questo anniversario abbiamo tradotto in italiano la storia sintetica del Partito Comunista delle Filippine elaborata da Armando Liwanag nel dicembre 1988. La riproduciamo qui e ne raccomandiamo la lettura. Il movimento comunista delle Filippine è uno dei più importanti del mondo, uno tra i primi ad inserirsi nel movimento contro il revisionismo e a svilupparlo, uno di quelli che ha saputo combinare al livello più elevato l’azione del Partito, dell’Esercito Popolare e del Fronte, quello che ha saputo estendere la maggiore influenza tra le masse emigrate, quello che ha avuto e ha ruolo di protagonista nel rapido sviluppo dell’aggregazione di organizzazioni di massa più vasta e importante a livello internazionale, la Lega Internazionale dei Popoli in Lotta (ILPS). Tutti i comunisti del mondo hanno molto da imparare dal movimento comunista delle Filippine e dal Partito che lo guida.
Noi continueremo a operare per stringere i legami tra le lotte che conducono i movimenti comunisti e le masse popolari dell’Italia e delle Filippine, attraverso lo scambio e il confronto teorico e la collaborazione pratica, e la solidarietà reciproca contro la repressione.
Cari compagni, il movimento comunista internazionale non può procedere senza valorizzare la vostra esperienza, e tutto quanto di nuovo avete portato nel nostro patrimonio. Non può procedere nemmeno senza affrontare la nuova sfida e senza conquistare il potere nei paesi imperialisti. Questo è il nuovo, quello che ancora non è stato fatto, quello che ci distingue dal passato, il passaggio più difficile. Avanzando su questo terreno, sviluppiamo il marxismo-leninismo-maoismo in forma nuova, perché solo con quest’arma e solo sviluppandone l’efficacia noi potremo vincere. È importante, e anzi è necessario che la vostra esperienza e la nostra si confrontino e crescano, sviluppando il marxismo-leninismo-maoismo come teoria rivoluzionaria guida della nuova ondata della rivoluzione proletaria, facendo in modo che sia fatto proprio dai partiti e dalle organizzazioni del movimento comunista internazionale e applicandolo alle specifiche situazioni concrete di ogni paese, dei paesi imperialisti e dei paesi oppressi e semicoloniali.
Il futuro è nostro!
